Common Questions

Everything parents need to know before signing up.

Classes are held via Zoom or Google Meet. Each student receives a unique link before their session. We use screen sharing so the instructor can see each student's code and provide real-time feedback. All sessions are recorded and available for 7 days so students can review what they learned.
Our courses are designed for children aged 8-14, split into two groups: Explorers (ages 8-10) and Builders (ages 11-14). No prior coding experience is required for the Explorers group. Builders should have a basic understanding of using a computer, but coding experience is not necessary.
We maintain a strict maximum of 5 students per class. This ensures every child gets individual attention, can ask questions freely, and receives personalised feedback on their code. It's the closest experience to private tutoring in a group setting.
Individual sessions can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the class for a full refund. Monthly bundles can be cancelled before the next billing cycle. Term packages are refundable within the first 2 weeks (pro-rated for sessions attended). We believe in the value of our teaching and offer a money-back guarantee for the first session.
A computer or laptop (Windows, Mac, or Chromebook) with a stable internet connection, a webcam, and a microphone. For robotics classes, we provide a list of recommended Arduino starter kits (around £25-40) that can be purchased online. All software used in our classes is free and open-source.
Classes run on weekday evenings (4pm-7pm) and Saturday mornings (9am-12pm) UK time. We offer flexible scheduling — once you sign up, you can pick from available time slots each week. If you need to reschedule, just let us know 24 hours in advance.
